Well we are well into summer and this weekend we had our first overnight camping trip of the year out at Sugar Lake. When we arrived Saturday morning all the campsites had been full since Wednesday so Keria and I did some searching along the road while waiting for Dad and friends (Cory, Angie and Kash) to arrive and we found a perfect undiscovered campsite, with its own little cove of the lake, yeah!!! (the power of thought). It was great fun with Keira as now everything is exciting and fun especially her favorite corn on the cob. And could never had enough rides in the zodiac. What a great little boat, Bas and I both put it on our list of wants for next summer. The weather was perfect, and we were able to sleep with the fly off the tent. Bas made his famous crepes for Sunday breakfast with fresh raspberries from the farmers market and chocolate whip cream. And we ended it before we went home with Keira roasting some weiners over the fire for us. Hope everyone is having a great summer, we sure are !!!

First post

Well all, I thought I would give into the blogg page as I think it is an easier way to keep our family adventures posted for family and friends to see. And it works as a great scrap book for us too.

We have had a great spring, even though it is June, the weather here is cool, and it feels like summer is never going to get here. We have planted our first vegetable garden, so we are excited to see the harvest we will get from it.

We had a trip to the hotsprings in Nakusp in March for a weekend, Keira's first, and she loved it.

Then Keira and I were off to visit Grandma and Grandpa in Hawaii for a week. We had a blast, so nice to get a bit of tropical weather. Lots of swimming in the pool, and eating popsicles.

Bas and I have done our first hike of the year on May long weekend into Spectrum Lake. We are excited to take Keira with us this year on some day hikes. We will see how far her legs can carry her and then she can hitch a ride in her backpack carrier. She is an outside girl though, even in the rain I can't get her to come in, so we can't wait for all of our adventures to come, she is already talking about the big fish she is going to catch this summer on our camping trips.

I hope you all enjoy our blogg page, and that everyone is doing great out there, I will keep the post's coming.

Michelle, Bas, and Keira
